Sooo...you may not realise it, but you got some action in bed last night. According to experts, it’s normal for humans to shift around as we’re getting our beauty sleep - we move an average of two to four times an hour, which amounts to some 20 instances of tossing and turning.

No matter how restless we seem in our sleep though, we all have our favourite sleeping position, the one that never fails to help us drift off. And while you may think nothing of it, you'll be surprised how telling it is of your personality. Ahead, five common sleeping positions and what they mean. Which one are you?

#1 The Worrier/The Thinker

Position: Lying on your side, body curled or in a fetal position, arms resting either on the pillow or one arm tucked underneath the pillow and the other lying near the chin.

Pros: Prevents back pain and snoring.

Cons: Wrinkles skin and breasts, worsens acid reflux.

Personality: Hard on the outside, but a real softie inside! You may seem shy when you first meet people, but you tend to relax quickly and become warm and friendly.

#2 The Logger

Position: Lying on your side with both arms down by your side or hands hugging a pillow.

Pros: Prevents back pain and snoring.

Cons: Wrinkles skin and breasts, worsens acid reflux.

Personality: You trust people very easily. You’re likely to be part of an active social circle, and you love to be part of the crowd, having a good time.

#3 The Soldier

Position: Lying on your back, with your arms outstretched but close to your body, palms down.

Pros: Prevents back pain, reduces wrinkled skin, promotes perky breasts.

Cons: Causes snoring.

Personality: A perfectionist who expects the best of herself and those around her. You also tend to be quiet and reserved.

#4 The Starfish

Position: Lying on your back, with both arms resting on the pillow in an "I surrender" pose, and your legs stretched out in an inverted "V". Sometimes, your arms are at your sides but outstretched - think the Corpse Pose in yoga, only with palms down.

Pros: Prevents back pain, reduces wrinkled skin, promotes perky breasts.

Cons: Causes snoring.

Personality: You're a popular, open person who makes friends easily because you're always there to listen and help in their time of need.

#5 The Freefaller

Position: Lying on your stomach, with your hands resting on the pillow, palms down. Your head is turned to one side and sometimes, one of your legs is cocked at a 90-degree angle.

Personality: You're an extrovert who loves attention. You can also be brash and you really don't take criticism well.

Pros: Prevents snoring.

Cons: Causes neck and back pain, wrinkled skin, saggy breasts.
