Our favourite cat collector game is being made into a movie! Neko Atsume, a Japanese mobile cat-collecting game that has created a virtual craze since its launch, is being adapted into a live-action film.
Titled House of Neko Atsume, the movie will star a bestselling author Katsu Sakumoto (played by Atushi Ito), who escapes to the quiet countryside after experiencing a spell of writer’s block. He meets a lone cat, and begins leaving food out for it - much like what happens in the game. The film is scheduled for release in 2017.
