As with Princess Charlotte's christening, William and Kate have stuck to friends or family for their godparent choices, with no members of the royal family included in the list of names. Here's who Louis' godparents are:
Mr. Nicholas van Cutsem
Nicholas is a business developer who has known Prince William since childhood. He has three brothers who all share close ties to the royal family as their father, Hugh van Custem Sr., was a close friend of Prince Charles.
Nicholas' three-year-old daughter Florence was a bridesmaid at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding and William is godfather to Grace, the 10-year-old daughter of Nicholas' older brother, Hugh. Nicholas married Alice Hadden-Paton in London in 2009. William and Kate and Prince Harry were among the guests.
Mr. Guy Pelly
The nightclub owner has been friends with William, Kate and Harry for years. His mother, Lady Carolyn Herbert, was friends with Princess Diana and used to date Prince Andrew, but he didn't meet the Duke until 2001, when they were both members of the Beaufort Hunt, the Daily Mail reports.
In 2011, Pelly was said to be the organiser behind William's stag do in Norfolk. Three years later, Pelly tied the knot himself when he married American hotel heiress Lizzy Wilson.
Mr. Harry Aubrey-Fletcher
Harry is son of Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, the 8th Baronet and Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire. He attended Ludgrove School in Berkshire with William before continuing his education at Eton alongside the royal. William was an usher when Harry married Louise Stourton in January, 2011, just three months before their own wedding in April that year.
The Lady Laura Meade
Laura is the daughter of the Earl and Countess of Romney and is married to William's close friend, James Meade, who is godfather to Princess Charlotte. Her family's Norfolk house, Gayton Hall, is close to the Duke and Duchess' former home, Anmer Hall, and she is said to have grown close to both Kate and Pippa Middleton.
Earlier this year, Laura and James attended church with the royals at Sandringham. More recently, they were guests at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.
Mrs. Robert Carter
Kate became friends with Hannah Gillingham when they were pupils together at Marlborough College, where they are said to have been in the same sports teams. She married Robert Carter in April 2012, a day after William and Kate's first wedding anniversary.
Miss Lucy Middleton
Lucy Middleton is Kate's cousin and works as a solicitor in London.
Prince Louis's godparents will all attend the baptism, where the Lily Font and water from the River Jordan will be used. Following the service, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will host a private tea party at Clarence House. Guests will be served slices of christening cake, which is a tier taken from their wedding cake.
