Photos from Bella Hadid’s 21st birthday have been surfacing, and from what we’ve seen, it was a glorious intimate affair at a New York City restaurant with her close friends and family—including her sister Gigi Hadid and mum, Yolanda Foster.
However, rumours have since surfaced that the financier behind these celebrations was none other than Champagne Papi himself, Drake.
Hadid and Drake are supposedly close pals, but we hadn’t cottoned on that they were at I’ll-organise-your-21st level. The supreme generosity has triggered relationship alarm bells—with many now assuming that the two are an item.
A source spoke to Us Weekly to reveal that “Drake planned it and paid for everything”. But despite being the brains (and the wallet) behind this soirée—which about 30 people attended, including Travis Scott and Martin Garrix—Drake was not spotted at the event by the paparazzi outside.
However, an insider source has revealed that he was in there celebrating with the Hadids 'til the early hours of the morning.
"Drake wanted to show Bella an awesome time and he did so with this amazing birthday party. She was super smitten when she saw him from across the room. He and Bella were incredibly close at the club and he held her closely while they lounged in the VIP section. They didn't leave each other's side the entire night and even danced together to some of The Weeknd's songs when they were played. Their chemistry has always been great and Drake is very supportive of everything she is doing."
Drake is good friends with Hadid’s ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd(who is now dating Selena Gomez), so it is likely that the three would hang out whilst she was dating the singer.
In another twist of Hollywood-incest, Bella Hadid has also worked with Drake’s ex, Rihanna, after she picked out the Hadid sisters to walk in her Fenty x Puma runway show.
Though nothing has been confirmed by either parties as of yet, we are kinda hoping this rumour is true, and that Drake finally gets over RiRi and Hadid gets to look this smitten once again.
