After the success of Dior’s Rose des Vents pop-up stores in Hong Kong earlier this year, the exceptional selection of jewellery known by the same name has landed in Singapore and will be on display at Takashimaya’s Main Atrium on level one from 21 August to 1 September 2018.
You won’t want to miss the fine collection, designed by the creative director of Dior Joaillerie Victoire de Castellane, which is inspired by a journey of the winds through the history of the fashion house and its founder.
“Rose des vents is a metaphor for creation.” explains Victoire de Castellane. “Creating is about searching, turning things over, and then finding one’s cardinal point and setting off on a journey. Creation is the product of a stationary voyage.”
Pieces in the collection are developed around the idea of a medallion pendant, which rotates to display different sides according to the wearer’s movements. They incorporate the symbols that represent the house, such as Christian Dior’s lucky star, in the motif of a compass rose.
The jewels are available in yellow gold with options of mother-of-pearl, lapis lazuli, turquoise and malachite, or rose gold with pink opal or onyx, and of course, in a luxe version that’s fully paved with diamonds.
