With the many saccharine sweet girl groups produced in Korea every year, it’s hard to imagine anything not pink or girly coming from a K-label.
And that’s exactly why Yohan Kim, and his label Yohanix, stand out.
Yohanix has always been loved for its edgy yet playful designs and heavy use of leather (Kim used to work for Balmain, specialising in leather). This Fall/Winter 2016 collection is no different, aside from a greater focus on texture. Cashmere, leather, embroidery and studs make for a visually strong and tactile collection that appeals to that dark alter ego we all have.
