In honour of the Peekaboo bag's tenth anniversary, Fendi unveiled the second chapter of its #MeAndMyPeekaboo project, spotlighting iconic female bloodlines on a global scale — among them, Kim Kardashian West, Kris Jenner, and 5-year-old North West.
The first chapter's campaign imagery featured Silvia Venturini Fendi, (Fendi's creative director of accessories, menswear, and kidswear) alongside her daughters Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Leonetta Luciano Fendi, while the second chapter shifts focus to women in other famous families, including Kim, Kris, and North.
The images, meant to look more like a family album than ad campaign, capture the fleeting moments of familial intimacy, where daughters, mothers, and sisters are the protagonists of their own pictorial narratives.
Variations of the iconic Peekaboo handbag are featured in several images from the campaign, including the classic regular style to the mini and micro versions (held below by North West).
The same authentic approach was used to shoot other female, familial relationships in both photo and video form for the campaign. They include sisters Jessica and Krystal Jung in Seoul; musician Dou Jiayuan captured with her mother, photographer GaoYuan; and Ewan McGregor’s daughters, Clara and Esther McGregor.
Each short film, which will appear on Fendi's website and social channels on 10 July 2018, features Kanye West’s 'Love Lockdown' as its soundtrack.
