Fendi Just Got A Logo Refresh For Fall/Winter 2018

Is it a hit or miss?

Fendi’s iconic double-F logo was created by its creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, and has remained one of the most recognisable luxury brand logos five decades on. But at the Italian label’s Fall/Winter 2018 show at Milan Fashion Week, it received an unexpected revamp courtesy of a collab with Scottish graphic artist Hey Reilly to re-appropriate sports brand Fila.

Fusing Fila’s logo typography with the word Fendi as well as the Italian brand’s iconic monogram print, he imbued a touch of sportif into a series of sweatshirts and bags, which matched surprisingly well with separates that were aesthetically classic.
