There's A US$1 Million Reward For Dorothy’s Missing Slippers

Plus, eight gorgeous red pairs that don't cost a fortune.

In 2005, Dorothy’s ruby sequinned slippers went missing from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, US, where they were on display for years before their mysterious disappearance. The shoes were one of four existing pairs that Judy Garland wore in the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz.

Now, on the 10th anniversary of the theft, an anonymous (and, may we add, very rich and generous) donor who’s a huge Wizard of Oz fan has offered US$1 million to anyone who manages to find the missing ruby reds. If you know where they are, contact the Grand Rapids Police Department to claim your reward. Otherwise, just revisit the movie with these modern red steppers that, as the Wicked Witch of the East experienced, can also bring a house down.
