The One Trick That Will Make Walking In Heels Less Painful

It’s completely free too

Ah, high heels. If there’s one thing that can ignite so much love and hate at the same time, it’s these babies. They make us feel more confident and powerful, and at the same time pinch, bite and strain our feet.

Well, here’s a shoe hack that will make teetering about in heels less painful. The best part? It won’t cost you a single cent.

Author of self-help and style book Shoe Are You?Meghan Cleary, shared a special trick she uses herself with fashion news site WWD.

Here's how it works: First, run your feet under cold water, apply a small amount of hand lotion on your feet while they’re damp (read: Damp, not wet), then put your skyscrapers on.

The lotion helps to seal in the moisture of the cold water and lubricates sore spots where you’re most likely to get blisters. While it doesn’t mean you’ll feel like you’re walking on a cloud the whole day, it’s a quick, easy fix to instantly increase the amount of (comfortable) wear you get out of your heels. Snap.
