The ’90s Are Cool Again, According To Givenchy

But don’t even THINK about going back to your flannels and grubby denims


As you probably know, the period that served up grunge fashion, supermodel glamour and casual chic in a single eclectic decade has been creeping up on us over the past few months. And now, we can finally say it’s officially back. Why? Because Riccardo Tisci - Givenchy creative genius and leader of one of the coolest friend squads ever; go search #LoveGang - has just entered the fray with a denim collection for Givenchy. 

While the designer has been tinkering with the workhorse material since 2006, this is the first time he’s presented denim as a head-to-toe look.

Among the pieces, which will be released across the Spring-Summer and Pre-Fall seasons: All the ’90s trends we’ve known and loved, rolled into one smart series that encapsulates the brand’s iconic pieces from its past presentations. There are the slim-cut jeans, distressed dungarees, masculine jackets, overdyed shirts and even a glorious denim cape, each punctuated with Givenchy’s signature symbols such as studs and stars.
