Just last week, it was announced that Raf Simons would be taking over as the new chief creative officer of Calvin Klein, and now we’re treated to a detailed look at his Fall 2016 collection for Adidas.
Will we ever get tired of Stan Smiths? Judging from the first look at Simons’ latest designs, the answer is a resounding no.
The range is appropriately retro – with rich, loud colours like yellow, purple and maroon, as well as a mix of matte and trending high-shine textures. There are two new models introduced with this collection: the Stan Smith Comfort, a classic style with Velcro straps instead of laces, and the Matrix Spirit, a revival of Adidas’ famous Spirit basketball sneaker from the ‘80s.
The classic Stan Smith styles in the collection are finished in glossy leather and Simons’ initials “R” on the side. See below for more pictures.
