Bill Cunningham, the iconic blue-jacketed New York Times photographer whose images paved the way for street-style photography as we know it now, has passed away at the age of 87 following a stroke.
“I realised that you didn’t know anything unless you photographed the shows and the street, to see how people interpreted what designers hoped they would buy.”
Above, we celebrate the man who was always on the lookout for beauty with a selection of images that reflect who he was. RIP, Mr Cunningham.
