From one French icon to another – following its UNIQLO X Ines de la Fressange drop last week, the Japanese giant has announced another treat for collab fans: The launch of its Spring Summer 2016 collection with Carine Roitfeld!
We’re even more excited about this season’s pieces than the last, because they’re better suited to our weather. The 56-piece range (a tad bigger than the previous 50-piece one) is also designed to suit the lifestyle of busy professional women, which is perfect for all of us, no?
According to UNIQLO, “The inspiration for the collection was Ms Roitfeld’s packed work schedule, which keeps her constantly on the move around the world.”
As such, the jungle-themed designs are made of lightweight performance fabrics like wrinkle-free cotton and jersey with the texture and comfort of suede, and they come in earthy, classic hues or – as can be expected of the former French Vogue editor – sassy reptilian prints.
There are also a few reversible pieces that enable wearers to switch up their look on casual, business or more formal occasions with some smart mixing and matching.
Our fave piece? A slim, textured jacquard jacket with a mock croc print that we can totally see ourselves rocking a la Le Smoking, be it at a dressy dinner or a board meeting with the CEO. See it and our other picks from the collection in the gallery above.
The UNIQLO X Carine Roitfeld SS16 collection will be available from 22 January at UNIQLO ION Orchard and online. Prices range from $14.90 to $199.90.
