Barbie just doesn’t stop flaunting it, does she? The doll with the perfect figure already has girls around the world lusting after her tiny waist, hot boyfriend and killer collection of heels (plus, more recently, flats). Now, thanks to Moschino and Net-A-Porter, we’ll be eyeing her latest threads too.
Come 9 November, the two brands will release a collector’s edition Moschino Barbie dressed in an eight-piece wardrobe designed by the brand’s creative director Jeremy Scott (who introduced Barbie elements to his for-humans collection in Spring-Summer 2015).
What it’s made up of: Signatures from the label, including a slogan t-shirt, a quilted leather bomber jacket, a leather motorcycle bag and – of course! – a distinctive chain belt emblazoned with Moschino in gold lettering. Think of it as a sort of sum total of everything you’ve always wanted from the brand.
Said Scott, “I wanted to bring all of the Moschino elements to Barbie, as I had done the reverse by bringing all of the Barbie elements to Moschino for my SS15 collection.
“The thing I love most about Barbie is that she is the ultimate muse – she’s worn every style and design imaginable and at the same time she’s had every possible profession you can dream of.”
You don’t have to just sit there and drool over her wardrobe this time, though. Together with the launch, Net-A-Porter and Moschino will release a similar wardrobe for real-life dolls – bringing you one step closer to being like Barbie.
