Oh Le Labo, how we love thee.
If you're not familiar with the niche perfume house, firstly, where have you been?
Secondly, they're the noses behind an army of cult fragrances like Rose 31, Neroli 36 and of course the legendary Santal 33, which will literally make strangers chase down the street after you in a bid to know the name. Ok, maybe not literally...
And if you've been a fan since day dot? Well, cash at the ready, because they've just lifted the lid on their debut body, hair and face range - and it's making a case for the most Instagrammable beauty collection yet.
We're talking spa-worthy shower oils, shampoos and conditioners (including adorable minis for jetsetters), seriously luxe body lotions to stave off winter skin, and even face masks, so you can look as flawless as you smell.
So what's the deal?
According to the cool kid-approved beauty brand it's all about being 'Plant-based, genderless, claimless, cruelty free - and free of any promise other than making you feel good', which means we're into it. A lot.
If you like your beauty products to look amazing atop your dresser, we're pretty certain you'll be obsessed with the packaging.
Everything boasts Lush-meets-modern-day-apothecary-meets-utilitarian-chic vibes (totally a thing), with each product housed in minimal clear or ivory bottles, screw-top containers and squeezy tubes detailing the scent, origin of production and best-before-use, so it'll all look at home next your Glossier, Lixir and Byredo must-haves.
But it isn't all about aesthetics.
The hair products boast ultra-nourishing, shine-giving ingredients like macadamia and avocado, whilst moisturising shea butter and cooling eucalyptus are also staples.
And the dreamy, signature scent? That'd be Hinoki - a Japanese cypress that is warm, woody and citrussy in equal measure. Well would you expect anything less from a perfumery?
While the perfume prices can creep into the hundreds (although totally worth the splurge), the body, hair and face range starts from just £8 for a discovery set of four 15ml products. Which means you can get a slice of the Le Labo action without blowing your wages in one go. YAS.
The ELLE Edit
We thought nothing could shake our Glossier Balm Dot Com obsession - until this came along. Unlike others, it isn't hair-trappingly sticky or 90s-glossy. Instead, it lends a perfectly matte finish that feels satisfyingly velvety and really delivers on hydration. Chapped winter lips, be gone!
If you haven't jumped on the scalp scrub bandwagon, now is the time to start. Le Labo's Scrub Shampoo nails cleansing and exfoliating in one by ridding the scalp of both product build up and dead skin cells, so that hair follicles produce healthier, shinier and bouncier locks.
With black sea salt (the main exfoliant), sweet basil and an invigorating menthol effect, this pretty much transformed our shower into a spa somewhere exotic.
If you have oily, acne-prone skin, make this the first product you snap up. Plot twist: it's actually unscented, but is packed with charcoal and kaolin to trap grime and make-up before they get a chance to play havoc with your skin, as well as salicylic acid to banish excess sebum, which can lead to blocked pores. It might feel slightly tight during, but not after rinsing. See ya, blackheads.
