A unique facial oil that’s a blend of eight essential oils and two botanical oils to make skin silky soft and smooth, and leave complexion radiant and dewy. The best part? It’s meant to be used as a makeup base and as an overnight oil mask.
Although I do love myself a good facial oil to nourish my tired or dry skin, the mask function of this oil is pretty new to me. I’ve always used facial oils as a concentrate or a moisturiser, but in this case, after cleansing and applying my usual serum and moisturiser, I put a generous amount (about six drops) in my palm, rubbed my hands together and smoothed it on my face, patting gently.
My skin looked luminous (and slightly oily) at first before the oil was absorbed, leaving a dry finish. The next morning, I woke up to happy, glowy skin that had been deeply moisturised. It felt smoother and more supple to the touch, and my fine lines and pores looked like they’d disappeared.
As a makeup base, this oil is supposed to help makeup glide on and fit better on the skin. This works best only if your skin isn’t greasy, though.
I applied it sparingly on my whole face before applying my usual liquid foundation and loose powder. The makeup went on very smoothly but in under an hour, my oily T zone had become shinier than usual and I had to blot and reapply my foundation again.
My tip: If you have oily skin, skip this oil as a makeup base (stick to a mattifying makeup base) and just use it as an overnight oil mask instead.
