World Environment Day takes place on 5 June and besides using less plastic to create a beauty routine that’s good for you and good for the planet, you can also pick up a hankie to reduce the use of tissues.
This month, Innifree’s annual Eco-Handkerchief campaign, fronted by Korean-American hip-hop artist Jay Park, returns with three stylish handkerchiefs – each depicting a different environment: the city, sea and forest.
Through this movement, the K-beauty brand hopes to encourage consumers to use hankies instead of tissue paper to reduce woodcutting and in turn contribute to a cleaner and greener earth. Besides using these hankies to wipe wet hands, you can also use them as bandanas, headscarves or bento-box carriers.
In conjunction with the campaign, the brand has also launched a limited-edition Play Green collection featuring some of its best-selling products, such as its Green Tea Seed Serum and Green Tea Sleeping Mask, dressed in special packaging. With the purchase of any of these products this June, customers will be entitled to a complimentary eco-handkerchief, while stocks last.
