10 Ways To Protect Your Skin From The Haze

We thought we smelt smoke in the air and we were right. The haze is back and the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) currently stands at 82. The numbers are lower than what we experienced last September and though we aren’t sure how long this smog episode will last, it’s better to be prepared.

Pollutants in the air may clog pores, dry skin out, and cause irritation and pre-mature ageing. Our solution: Load up on beauty products that are high in antioxidants and those that are formulated specially to combat pollution.

#1 Avoid applying more makeup

This isn’t going to create a barrier between your skin and the haze.

#2 Cleanse well

At the end of the day, make sure to cleanse your skin well so you remove all the impurities from the smog.

#3 Strengthen your immunity

Include vitamin C-rich foods (such as fresh fruits and vegetables) into your diet, and load up on salmon, nuts and broccoli that have anti-inflammatory benefits.
