There seems to be a million and one fitness events organised this year, each offering something different — from paint splashing to zombie movie re-enactment. Are you as dizzy from the choices as we are?
If you’re still looking to join one before the year ends, make it the annual Pink Ribbon Walk, set to be held in October in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
No prizes for completing the 3.2km walk first, but what you’ll get is the joy of walking alongside 6,000 inspirational breast cancer fighters, survivors and their families, and being part of the efforts to raise awareness of this disease.
A fun-filled carnival and meet-and-greet opportunities with the cast of Pangdemonium’s Chinglish and cartoon characters from The Winx Club will also help make this a fulfilling day out for both the young and old.
Exercise with a heart for everyone in the family? Yes please. It’s time to whip our pink t-shirts out.
The Pink Ribbon Walk will be held on 3 October at the Marina Bay Event Square @ Waterfront Promenade. To register, head to www.pinkribbonsingapore.com.
