You know that durian season is upon you when the creamy, golden-yellow mounds of deliciousness appear everywhere you look (hallucinations or not). And while you may have been holding back before out of guilt, it’s time to realise: Resistance is now futile.
Because from today till 26 June, all proceeds from Goodwood Park Hotel’s Durian Fiesta event will go towards the Assisi Hospice in Singapore. The donations will help defray the costs of patient care, take the organisation closer to its target of raising $7.8 million this year - and make the indulgent treats somewhat guilt-free to eat.
Durian lovers will be happy to know that the Durian Fiesta includes cakes, crepes, pastries and puffs filled either with D24 or Mao Shan Wang. There’s also Mao Shan Wang ice cream in a tub - perfect for lazy evenings in front of the telly.
You can get your durian takeaways at the Deli between 9am and 9pm, or call 6730 1786 to place your orders. All that’s left to do then, is let the bingeing begin.
