First things first: We’re not suggesting that you turn up at Singapore’s hottest indie music festival in your birthday suit. But IF you do – or have nothing cool to wear or no time to buy festival rags – you can still avoid being arrested by the style police on Saturday (or actual cops if you’re nekkid).
How? H&M has got your back. Everyone’s favourite festival gear store is setting up its first pop-up shop at the entrance of this year’s Laneway Festival, where you can tog up in a variety of tops and accessories.
You’ll even be able to customise your H&M tees with music-inspired stamps at a DIY stamping corner next to the shop, so you won’t have to face the horror of someone wearing exactly the same clothes as you in the aftermovie.
Inside the festival, rock out to choons from Laneway’s biggest line-up yet (hello Battles, Chvches, Grimes and Violent Soho!) as you get pressed in the H&M mystery flash tattoo parlour. Just place your arms into any slot in the parlour and voila – you’ll get a surprise (faux, of course) tattoo.
Then head next door to the dressing room or to the interactive display at the main meadow area to snap a pic of you and your cool new outfit and tatt. Trust us, you’re gonna want this reminder of your best festival look yet.
The sixth edition of the Laneway Festival Singapore happens at The Meadows, Gardens By The Bay, on 30 January.
