*Drum roll please* The very first Saint Laurent pictures by new creative head Anthony Vaccarello are out – giving a glimpse of what’s to come for the house following Hedi Slimane’s departure.
Moody, sultry, slightly mysterious, these two black-and-white portraits released so far (no clothes featured) aren’t completely disengaged from Saint Laurent’s recent aesthetic, but offer a more mellow, grown-up feel, without the grit and rock star feel that Slimane was so fond of.
The full campaign features 15 new faces shot in Paris by the American artist Collier Schorr and will be published in magazines worldwide from 22 June.
From tomorrow though, look out for “exclusive content” on Instagram @ysl and online at YSL.com.
