As Raf Simons presented his eponymous label’s Spring-Summer 2017 collection in Florence on Thursday, rumours were swirling that it wouldn’t be long before he joins Calvin Klein, whose head creatives left in April.
During a recent interview with American radio station Sirius XM, Klein (the designer) hinted: “They just finally made changes in the design staff. They won’t announce [who it is] publicity because it’s under contract. But the whole industry knows.”
Calvin Klein Pre-Spring 2017
Simons, of course, is tied to a non-competition agreement with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton after his time at Dior, which expires in July. And Calvin Klein (the brand) is expected to announce its new creative director in August before September’s Spring 2017 presentations. We can only wait.
