Icebergs Dining Room and Bar

After having breakfast at Sadhana Kitchen, you have to stroll down to the highly popular Icebergs Dining Room and Bar. It has been on the hot, hip and happening bucket list of visitors and locals alike. All the ingredients for fine dining are here: An iconic Bondi Beach location; uber cool interiors; Modern Mediterranean cuisine; great chefs and owner Maurice Terzini at the helm have ensured the restaurant maintains its coveted status of Two Chefs Hats (Good Food Guide 2016). Soak up the Bondi Beach atmosphere and the taste sensations of perfectly executed Italian cuisine! My personal favourite was the crunchy mini shrimps - we actually ordered a second round of it, it was too addictive!

Black Star Pastry

Black Star Pastry

Black Star Pastry champions the belief that “how a cake eats is just as important as how it looks.” This is a definite nod from every food Instagrammer! Fresh, light and fragrant. The Strawberry Watermelon Cake has become Black Star Pastry's signature and most requested cake. It consists of two layers of almond dacquoise, rose-scented cream, watermelon, strawberries, pistachios and dried rose petals. I’m not a huge fan of desserts but this one literally takes the cake! You’ll probably want to buffer a bit of a waiting time if you’re gonna try their famous Strawberry Watermelon Cake, but I assure you, it’s worth the wait!

KOI Dessert Bar

KOI Dessert Bar

KOI offers fine-dining desserts at friendly prices in a duplex space, with a ground floor patisserie-style cafe and a lounge and bar area above. The Asian-inspired menu combines both the savoury and sweet. It was a pity we arrived in the evening, but any dessert there would’ve been easily insta-worthy!

Jonah’s Whale Beach

Jonah’s Whale Beach

Jonah’s Whale Beach has got to be the most romantic place you can ever bring your girlfriend for a proposal! From your table in this light and airy restaurant perched on a clifftop, you’ll have a panoramic ocean backdrop to add to the enjoyment of a meal cooked by Peter Ridland, whose credentials include working with Michel Roux Jnr at the two-Michelin-starred Le Gavroche in London and Jacques Marcon from the three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Regis in France. At Jonah’s, you have all the ingredients for an unforgettable, photogenic and proposal-worthy meal.

Cured & Cultured

Cured & Cultured

Bennelong’s extraordinary architecture is definitely a treat for sore eyes. Armed with a culturally significant and inspiring menu, with mostly Australian produce and wine, it was quite possibly the most luxurious food in our entire Sydney trip! They tend to serve each dish separately so you’re going to have a hard time choosing which dish to Instagram because they’re all soooo photogenic!

The Grounds of Alexandria

The Grounds of Alexandria

Highly recommended by Sydney’s very own food Instagrammers, I’ve actually been to the Grounds of Alexandria numerous times. For café lovers, no visit to Sydney would be complete without stepping into The Grounds Of Alexandria. Headed up by creative entrepreneur Ramsey Choker and renowned coffee guru Jack Hanna, The Grounds - where the coffee is roasted onsite - is housed in a funky warehouse with intriguing outdoor areas and organic gardens. It is literally a ‘mega cafe’ made up of a coffee roaster, cafe, bakery, bar, kitchen garden, weekend market, florist and mini-farm (say hi to Kevin Bacon) all rolled into one!

Sadhana Kitchen Bondi

Everything at Sadhana Kitchen is made with love in-house, from organic seasonal produce. You can almost taste the freshness in every bite! My top choice? Their Avocado Toast! It satisfies both your tastebuds and insatiable need to Instagram it.

Food is a huge part of the Aussie culture and it is undeniably the best part of my trip with Destination New South Wales. I was having food-gasms every single meal and felt like I probably needed someone to restrain me from taking more photos of every plate presented to us. So here’s a list of some of Sydney’s most Instagrammable food!
