When Apple held its product launch on 9 September, we were so caught up in the buzz that was the Apple Watch Hermès, that we completely overlooked a fresh release that was just as big — the announcement of the upcoming arrival of the new iPhone 6s.
Even more major: Besides space grey, silver and gold, the phone will also available in a sweet rose-gold finish that makes our fave gadget look like it’s blushing. Awww!
Since the announcement, there’s been quite a stir online, with people debating whether the phone will actually be rose gold or just plain ol’ pink (sounds like #blackandblue and #whiteandgold all over again, no?).
But anyhoo. Beyond those skin-deep concerns, Apple has also announced a slew of software upgrades for the iPhone 6s: 3D Touch, an instinctive pressure-sensitive feature; an A9 chip that promises faster performance; and a 12 megapixel camera that can capture 4K videos.
The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6s Plus are now available for pre-order on the Apple website, from $1,048 and $1,218 respectively. You can also get them from your mobile provider — they launch at Singtel on 19 September, and at M1 and Starhub on 26 September.
To complement the new iPhone, an iPhone Lightning Dock and Apple Watch Sport in rose gold have also been launched. Just take our money already, Apple.
