The Hippest Paris Eateries, According To A Chef

Street cred guaranteed

Everyone knows that Paris is gastronomique heaven, a virtual labyrinth of tiny bistros, cool gastrobars and hole-in-the-wall restaurants just begging to be gorged on.

But how to navigate the tangled maze? You ask a chef, of course. And being the helpful people that we are, we’ve done it for you.

Here, Haan Palcu-Chang - the chef behind local pop-up Lazy Susan SG and former head chef of hip Paris joint Le Mary Celeste - shares his top under-the-radar Paris eats.

(P/S: You can try Palcu-Chang’s own creative bites yourself now at Lazy Susan SG, on till 24 January! Details below.)

“This is another one by a great Japanese chef and is by far the hottest new restaurant on the block. A wonderful space serving simple, delicious food executed with refined technique.”

“A slightly modern take on traditional French bistro fare. This was my go-to for traditional Gallic flavours. Everything on the menu was delicious and hearty. Go there for French food, made by French people for French people.”

“Will always have a special place in my heart as I opened it close to four years ago. It’s now in the good hands of my former sous chef who is continuing to pump out delicious small plates to go along with the excellent cocktails on offer.”
