If There's Only One Thing You Watch This Weekend...

Season 2 of Narcos is TV crack

No plans for the weekend? We recommend a time-well-spent TV marathon that will be as entertaining as it is on-the-edge-of-your-seat riveting.

Everyone's raving about Season 2 of the Netflix hit series Narcos which premiered on 2 Sep, and we're not exception. It starts with cocaine king and Colombia's most notorious drug trafficker, Pablo Escobar (played by the brilliant Wagner Moura) going on the run after he flees the resort-like La Catedral.  And the season's 10 episodes give  viewers an insight into how the charismatic drug lord fights for his and his family's survival.

The storytelling is good, the action well-paced. Moura is a joy to watch; the Brazilian actor effortlessly brings his character to life, alternating between being brutal and menacing against his enemies and warm and tender towards his family. The rest of the cast provide good support, in particular Pedro Pascal as DEA agent Javier Pena.

Season 3 and 4 of the series was just announced recently. The trailer says little, but we know we're in for a treat.
