..If you do, it’s time to STAHP. Here are some things you can work on to get yourself revved up for the week ahead.
#1 Plan a Monday evening event
Haven’t seen a girlfriend for ages? Plan for a catch-up over dinner, arrange to meet for drinks, or schedule a 90-minute massage together (all things I’ve tried and tested).
#2 Make a list and check it twice
If you didn’t manage to accomplish certain tasks on Friday, make it a priority to sort them out come Monday morning. Thinking about how you’ll go about this is actually a great way to lessen that anxiety and feel more focused.
#3 Don't try to play catch-up between now and bedtime
We know, it can be tempting to check your email or get started on some work now. But close that laptop right away. It's healthier to make the most of your evening and do something fun before the week’s work ahead. You don’t want it to seem like you’re on a six-day work week, do you? Go catch an impromptu movie (the cinemas will be fairly empty), try out a new recipe or settle down for a Masterchef marathon.
#4 Get moving
Go for a run, do some muscle-building sets or try out a Blogilates session with Cassey Ho. Getting a little sweaty will open the floodgates for endorphins that will make you feel happier, and sleep better.
#5 Plan your Monday #ootd
Look into whether that new dress works with your trusty sneaks, or if it’s time to show off that cute polka-dotted skirt again. Better yet, create outfits for the rest of the week. It’s fun!
