Valentino’s creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli’s contemporary feminine designs are inspired by many things, one of them being the beautiful city of Rome. Like Valentino designs, the city embodies structure, quality, spirit, colours, details and artisanal mastery.
To take us into Chiuri and Piccioli's world of inspiration and reveal their vision of the Valentino woman, Italian art curator Francesco Bonami has curated the tome, Valentino: Mirabilia Romae, a page-turner that features original photography by Laziz Hamani.
Among the 400 pages and 300 illustrations, discover what fuels the passion and creativity behind the different designs – sometimes straight from the inspiration boards created for every collection, and the intricate paper patterns constructed for each couture gown.
Valentino: Mirabilia Romae is now available at Valentino boutiques and on Assouline.
