To be really, really honest, it’s not often we come across charitable fashion collaborations that we actually want to wear. Those logo-fied tees, the tote bags printed with smartypants slogans (albeit in funky fonts) – they don’t fit in with our regular wardrobe or reflect our personal style, even if we do empathise with the cause behind them.
Not only are they super practical (who doesn’t need another pair of comfy slip-ons?), they also strike a clever balance between novelty and subtlety.
We love the chic yet functional soft grey and baby pink colour combi that will quite easily complement most outfits, and the discreet universal pink ribbon symbol – signalling the fight against breast cancer – emblazoned on the inner sole.
Of course, the neatest part is that your commitment to these shoes also means a contribution towards the foundation. For each pair sold, Charles & Keith will donate 10 per cent of the proceeds to the non-profit organisation. This is the fourth year the homegrown brand has worked together with BCF to raise awareness of the disease.
The Charles & Keith X Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore loafers ($59.90 per pair) are available from 14 September to end November at all Charles & Keith Singapore stores, as well as online. P/S: Include a pair in any online order and get free delivery within Singapore.
