So twinning is a thing. And now you can go one step better by dressing the whole family in matching togs - or at least threads from the same family of local labels, thanks to Alfie Leong.
The Singapore fashion industry veteran has rebooted his Workshop Element brainchild at Suntec City with a fresh concept and a new name: W.E.+.
Whereas previously it was a multi-label store for up-and-coming local fashion brands, it’s now expanded into a mini fashion avenue of sorts - a row of boutiques from some of those now-grown-up brands offering a range of clothes and accessories for women, men and kids.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll find.
For the ladies
Shop the unconventional designs from bysm (previously known as Mù) and Révolte’s edgy pieces — it’s easy because both labels sit side-by-side. Having trouble finding an outfit? Head to the in-store Style Bar at Révolte for some fashion, hair and makeup advice from owner-designer Angela Lim, who’s also a fashion stylist. Mums will love Révolte Junior — Lim’s first foray into children’s clothes — for its sweet mother-daughter sets.
For the gents
Just next to bysm is Atelier LLYR, where you can shop for a pair of bespoke leather shoes, plus a full range of luxury cleaning and polishing products so your kicks will look as good as new. Dudes with a sense of humor, head to Swedish lifestyle brand Happy Socks for a quirky pair of socks or boxer briefs, which is housed in the same space as Atelier LLYR. It’s the brand’s first standalone store in Southeast Asia and boasts the widest selection in Singapore.
For the whole family
Done shopping? You won’t have to travel far to refuel yourself for round two. Workshop Element’s new F&B venture W.E. Café is located right outside the row of shops and serves delectable fusion cuisine — think pasta with pork belly and satay sauce. Hungry yet?
