The Most Wonderful & Wearable Pieces From PFW

Time to start saving up for a treat or two

Acne Studios SS16 By Fendi

Acne Studios SS16

Everyone needs a well-tailored blazer in their wardrobe, and this Acne number ticks all the right boxes. The slightly broader shoulders offer an ’80s vibe, which is modernised by a graphic yellow python skin element. Whether teamed with those flirty velvet minis, or tailored pants, this blazer sure has attitude.

Céline SS16

A LWD (longer white dress) that doesn’t scream wedding gown or dainty princess is the perfect LWD in our books. The innocence of white paired with utilitarian design elements makes for a elegant, yet edgy (almost) everyday dress.

Chloé SS16

Chloé SS16

You have no idea how difficult it was to pick a favourite out of this whole collection! Okay, maybe you do. We’re feeling island vibes from this pastel, frilly, tassle-adorned smock, and would totally go on a beach holiday just to wear it.

Dior SS16

Dior SS16

Sure, the white underpinnings seen at Dior’s show were a dream, but this scallop-edged, knitted crop sweater stood out even more. We couldn’t decide between this patterned piece or a black and blue one, but you’ll probably agree that this has more of a Christmas feel (yay, holidays!). Of course, Dior killed it with shoes and accessories too.

Dries Van Noten SS16

Dries Van Noten SS16

Trust Dries to produce a collection filled with brightly hued patterned pieces which made a beautiful racket when put together. This silk slip dress-like frock is the perfect outfit to wear to brunch with sneakers. Switch up your footwear and ta-dah! - you’ve got a red-carpet look.

Balenciaga SS16

Balenciaga SS16

Alexander Wang sure saved the best for last, didn’t he? We loved the romantic frills and ruffles in his final show for Balenciaga, but this hooded top is a much more practical piece. Structured, pristine and totally classy - yes please!

Kenzo SS16

Kenzo SS16

Kenzo did it again with its unapologetically loud prints and vibrant pieces. We can’t help but want to go on a vacation with this adorable tailored playsuit, which feels perfect for both business (if your HR approves!) and play.

Loewe SS16

Loewe SS16

The translucent pants that Loewe sent out this season are cool - but we don’t imagine we’ll see a lot of them IRL (nobody wants to see someone else’s undies, right?). But this fringe-like adorned skirt is a different story altogether. Party season, here we come!

Alexander McQueen SS16

Alexander McQueen SS16

For those of us who are anti-wedding gown, but would still like an element of tradition at your matrimonial ceremony - this is for you. So much attitude.

Rick Owens SS16
05 Oct 2015

Rick Owens SS16

Rick Owens sent out his models hanging off other models in yet another provocative show. And while not many of us have the strength to carry our friends on our backs (or fronts) as those poor models did, what we can all do is carry off this LBD. What a great a fuss-free yet stylish option for lazy days!

Everyone knows: What comes down the runway always looks great and is super Instagrammable, but whether you can see yourself wearing it IRL is another story.
