The Famous Pets Taking Over The Fashion Industry

They're leaving their (paw) prints on both the real and online worlds


That's how many fans Marc Jacobs' dog Neville has accrued on Instagram. 

Spending his days at Marc Jacobs headquarters in New York, Neville (referred to as 'the hardest working dog in fashion' by T magazine) is often seen eating burgers served by waiters, lounging by the pool, taking private jets with his canine friends and being walked by models such as Carolyn Murphy, Taylor Hill and Kendall Jenner.

If that wasn't enough, the four-year-old bull terrier has just bagged himself a book, aptly titled Neville Jacobs: I'm Marc's Dog featuring Instagram snaps of his glamorous lifestyle around the globe and, following a career modelling for front covers of Paper magazine and Architectural Digest.

To celebrate Neville's continuing success, we explore the fashion industry pets giving the models a run for their money (and snacks):

1. Choupette

Who: Karl Lagerfeld's Birman cat

Instagram followers: 86,000 to Choupette mega fan Ashley Tschudin's account @choupettesdiary. Yes, the cat doesn't even have an Instagram account and has more followers than you.

Break-through fashion moment: Modelling in a Vauxhall Corsa car calendar (alongside Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell) and a collaboration with cosmetics brand Shu Uemura in 2014, earning the feline a whopping £2million. 

2. Hector Browne

Who: Designer Thom Browne and curator Andrew Bolton's Miniature dachshund

Instagram followers: A humble 2,300

Break-through fashion moment: Father Thom 'hired' Hector to model a bag during his Fall 2016 collection catwalk show. 

3. Miss Asia Kinney

Who: Lady's Gaga's French Bulldog

Instagram followers: 231,000

Break-through fashion moment: Landed her own campaign with fashion brand Coach in 2015 for its Edie bag. 

4. Tinkerbelle

Who: Instagram star, actress, model in own right

Instagram followers: 85,100 followers

Break-through fashion moment: Sitting FROW at New York Fashion Week Rookie's SS17 show.

5. Cucciolina

Who: Anna Dello Russo's pet pooch

Instagram followers: Doesn't have a personal account as yet but regularly features on her mother's.

Break-through fashion moment: Served as Russo' muse for her H&M collaboration collection.

6. Mimmo

Who: Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce's one of three labradors

Instagram followers: 13,400  

Break-through fashion moment: Camera-shy Mimmo has a replica stuffed dog toy for her A-list appearances, meeting the likes of David Gandy and traveling around the world.
