Shop The Louis Vuitton/Unicef Silver Lockit

You’ll be protecting vulnerable children around the world

What’s better than splurging on a new designer accessory? Contributing to a very meaningful cause while you’re at it.

And that’s exactly what you’ll be doing when you buy the Louis Vuitton Silver Lockit ($800).

The pretty piece is inspired by the unpickable tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890, and is a collaborative project by Louis Vuitton and humanitarian and development organisation United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) to help vulnerable children around the world who need protection against conflict, diseases, natural disasters and other situations that put their well-being at risk.

Wear it and you’ll be helping to spread the message - in a very stylish way, at that.

With each sale, $300 goes towards Unicef. You can also raise awareness for the initiative by snapping a pic of intertwined pinky fingers and posting it on social media with the hashtag #MAKEAPROMISE.

The Louis Vuitton Silver Lockit is available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide from today. You can also purchase it here or make a direct donation to Unicef.
