As one of Asia’s fashion capitals, Korea has no lack of talents in the fashion industry, and one of them is Big Park.
Funky name aside (doesn’t it remind you of K-pop group Big Bang?), the label was set up in 2012 by Park Youn Soo, one of Korea’s most established designers. In a bid to reinvent himself after over two successful decades with his main eponymous label, he set up Big Park, a more fun, edgy and young diffusion line.
Though only four years old, the label has already garnered a celebrity fanbase, like K-pop groups 2ne1, Big Bang and Afterschool.
For Fall/Winter 2016, Big Park went with a whimsical forest theme, and titled the collection ‘Winter Pony’. The constant play of print is undeniable, and dynamic artwork added a touch of fun to tailored pieces with pops of red and army green for the colder season.
Feminine pleats — one of the key details of the collection — softened the masculine cuts. Effortlessly chic and dreamy, this is one collection everyone’s got to have.
