The fourth Digital Fashion Week kicks off next Thursday, and this SG50 edition promises to be bigger and better than ever (not least because ELLE Singapore is presenting one of the shows, tee hee – but more on that later).
This year, the annual event will take place at the swanky new Capitol Theatre, where a flotilla of designers from Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and the UK will showcase their work.
As always, the focus is on emerging designers, so look out for shows from Singapore’s Max Tan and Mash-Up, South Korea’s Seoul Chic Bazaar, Thailand’s Thai Collective by Siam Paragon and more, as well as an SG50-themed segment featuring contributions from fashion schools Raffles Design Institute, NAFA and MDIS.
“We are proud to discover new emerging designers and see them grow through our platform,” says Charina Widjaja, founder of DFW.
One of the event highlights is a Cruise presentation by new local label Run After, which is a collaboration between Whole9Yards and sought-after fashion blogger Melissa Koh – and yes, friends, this is the event that ELLE is super excited to be presenting!

Why we’re all in a tizzy (aside from the fact that we already LOVE what we’ve seen of the mod romantic pieces): True to its name, DFW’s VIPs are an invited army of social influencers from around the world – think Alexa Losey from the US, MillyQ Chung from Taiwan, Venice Min from Malaysia, our very own Andrea Chong and more.
And guess what? For the very first time, they’ll all be walking the catwalk at the Run After show!
You’ll also be able to shop what you see on the runway straight after here. Yep, nothing like instant gratification.
The cherry on the DFW cake? A show on the final day by the super cool Brit duo Teatum Jones.

There’ll also be fashion talks, workshops, a fashion tech showcase and a movie screening – to see the full lineup and buy tickets, head here. (Psst, we’ll also be giving away some passes to the Run After show, so look out for that soon.)
Digital Fashion Week 2015 is happening from 29 October to 1 November.
