Alexander Wang Is Apple Music’s First Fashion Curator

If you love the designer’s show playlists, you’ll adore this

For Apple, perhaps the choice was obvious. To kick off its Apple Music Fashion curator program, a channel that launched yesterday and celebrates the connection between fashion and music, the tech giant picked designer Alexander Wang as its first curator.

The decision was likely a no brainer since Wang’s love for music is well known – his show playlists are always bang on point, and musicians often feature in the front row (and after parties). He’s collaborated with big names such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Missy Elliott, among others, and he’s even designed a line of headphones for Beats By Dr Dre.

Now, for Apple Music Fashion, Wang has put together three playlists entitled Chill, Hype and Vibe, which run the gamut from jungle trap to hip hop and R&B. The diverse collection says a lot about the designer’s passion for music – it swings from dark and sexy one moment to light and joyful the next.

To celebrate the launch of the fashion curator program, Apple and Wang also teamed up on a fun video. Watch it here!
