3 New Multi-Label Stores To Explore

Just in time for the holiday season

Who doesn’t love a multi-label store? For one thing, they carry a wider range of styles and products than single-brand boutiques (great for today’s tiny attention span and lazy lifestyle because you can flit from one novelty to the next without walking too far!).

They’re also usually less intimidating to shop at and often offer specially curated items from brands that aren’t commonly available in Singapore.

So imagine our joy when not one or two, but three emails about new multi-brand fashion stores landed in our mailbox recently. FYI, you should be excited too – here’s why.

1. L’armoire

Avant garde fans, this one’s for you. This spanking new store offers rackfuls of modern and monochrome women’s and men’s threads by progressive labels from around the globe, including exclusive collections from brands like Barcelona-based Boris Bidjan Saberi, China’s Uma Wang and more.

Other goodies include clothes from futuristic label Alessandra Marchi and minimalistic Moon Young Hee, along with accessories from the likes of Guidi, Horisaki and Werkstatt Munchen. It’s all super cool because store founder Rocco Wu wants his industrial-themed space to be more than a store. “I’m not only delivering fashionable ideas. More importantly, I’m creating new concepts and possibilities,” he says.

2. Mporium

This salute to Asian designers at the revamped Suntec City serves up over 35 designer brands from across the region in a cavernous 5,000 sq ft space.

Browse womenswear, menswear, accessories and homeware from labels such as In Good Company and Aijek from Singapore, alongside international ones like Yesah from China and Yod Yoko from Thailand.

Says Jennifer Yii, CEO of Mporium’s parent company QiShop, “Singaporeans are well-travelled and more discerning than ever in their lifestyle and taste. Mporium aims to bring together these Asian designers so that your appreciation of good Asian design needn’t stop when your holiday ends.”

3. Julie Nicole

From Europe with love – new luxury boutique Julie Nicole transports shoppers to the world of European workmanship and leather goods, in particular treats from Italy.

Opened by Jeffrey Su, director of fashion distribution company Six 1 One, it offers brands with a celebrity following, such as Manolo Blahnik (Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham are fans) and Italian bag label Serapian, (a Frank Sinatra and Audrey Hepburn fave).

Long-suffering partners note – there are plush leather couches to rest on should you need to rest those bag-toting arms and shop-worn feet.
