We're Stealing This Ingenious Hair Trick From Yoyo Cao

She magically turned long hair into a bob

Having long hair is fun. There are a million and one ways to style it — you could have braids one day, half-buns the next, and have it sleek and straight the day after that.

But sometimes it can get boring. We could be determinedly growing out our hair for months and wake up one day feeling like we should chop our locks into a pixie-cut or lob instead.

Thanks to Yoyo Cao, however, we’ve found a way to take our hair from long to short without snipping a single strand off.

The designer and founder of local label Exhibit (and cover girl for ELLE Singapore’s August issue), who usually has pin straight locks, has been sporting a short bob on several of her Instagram posts and on the front row for the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2017 fashion show.

No, it’s not a wig or a magical hair serum that’s been altering the length of her hair every day. The style star has been tucking her hair into the neckline of blouses and dresses, creating a faux bob.

A literally effortless way to transform our hair in seconds? We’ve found our new favourite hairstyle.
