The New Way To Remove Makeup

You’ll only need this eraser and water

On regular days, my makeup removal process involves two steps – using an eye and lip makeup remover with a cotton pad, followed by a cleansing oil. That’s pretty “express” by some beauty buffs’ standards, but even so, I may soon can the whole thing, thanks to a new removal method that only requires warm water and a cloth. Yep, no cleanser required!

Cue the Original Makeup Eraser. It’s essentially a reusable cloth that wipes away all traces of makeup, including waterproof mascara. It comes in a box that looks like a giant eraser too.

The soft, pink fabric is made of a 100 percent polyester blend and works by “picking up” makeup instead of smearing it all over your face.

The cloth has two sides – one with shorter fibres to remove makeup, and the other with longer fibres to exfoliate. To remove makeup, simply drench it in warm water and rub it on the face using a gentle circular motion.

After you’re done, throw your Makeup Eraser in the washing machine to give it a good wash. Very simple, but what’s even better: It’s also friendly on the wallet and environment, since it’s reusable up to 1,000 times!

The Original Makeup Eraser, $30, from Sephora.
