She’s walked the runways for Chanel, Givenchy and Victoria’s Secret, and has in recent years become a face to watch. Today, China-born model Ming Xi also becomes the newest model to front the Flower by Kenzo campaign accompanying its latest fragrance launch, the Kenzo L’Elixir.
What was the very first perfume you wore? How old were you, and what do you remember about it?
I can't recall the exact brand; it was meant to be a gift for my mother, but she gave it to me instead. I guess she wasn’t too fond of the scent.
So how does it feel being the face for new Flower by Kenzo L’Elixir?
It’s an amazing experience to represent Kenzo, a brand that truly fits my personality. And it helps that I’m very in love with the new scent too!
What do you think of the new Kenzo L’Elixir scent?
On the one hand it’s very strong, but on the other it also invokes a sense of feminism, which taps into the very concept of the campaign.
Who do you think this new Kenzo woman is?
She’s determined and capable of changing the world.
Do you usually wear fragrances, and what is your favourite scent?
Yes, I do! Right now, it’s Kenzo L’Elixir, of course!
What are your makeup must-haves when you’re not working?
Mascara - after all, your eyes are the windows to your soul.
What are your beauty tips for good skin?
I use a face mask daily.
What are some beauty secrets your mother has shared with you?
