Always prep the eyelids with a primer before using eyeshadow. “This will help eye makeup stay on longer without smudging, and make colours appear more vivid,” says Cindy Goh.
2) Go slow
“To avoid patchy colours or a dirty-looking finish, build the intensity of the colour of the eyeshadow you are using slowly – layer by layer. And be sure to blend well,” shares Cindy Goh.
“An easy way to brighten and open up the eyes when doing a daytime smoky eye look: Use a lighter eyeshadow shade to highlight the inner corner of the eyes,” advices Dollei Seah.
4) Keep it clean
“Things might get messy, so dust on some loose powder under the eyelids to catch any stray eyeshadow pigments. You can easily brush this off after, without having to deal with unwanted colour stains under the eyes,” suggests Venetia Stravens.
