Gal Gadot: The New Face Of Gucci Bamboo

Using scent is a way to stand out, according to the model-actress

She’s Gisele in the Fast & Furious films and she’s also going to be the new Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But right now, Gal Gadot is the new face of the Gucci Bamboo fragrance campaign. The Israeli actress talks to us about her latest role.

What do you think of the fragrance and does it match the woman you portray in the campaign?

The amazing thing about this scent is that it does reflect the Gucci Bamboo woman. When you smell it you can sense the contrast between feminine and powerful notes, and when they come together it's a beautiful unforgettable scent. I am very happy to be the face of this scent because I love it and I love wearing it.

What are your thoughts on being a modern woman?

Women today have to be so many things. The best mother, the best lover, the best worker etc. And in order to do that they need to be very empowered, very strong, very independent and sophisticated - it is not to be taken for granted.

What role do you think perfume plays in a woman’s life?

For a woman, a perfume is like her signature. I think every woman has her own scent. When she is not in the room yet, you can smell her coming, as her scent precedes her. Scent is the way a woman stands out.

How was it working with photographers Mert and Marcus on the campaign?

Wonderful. Both Mert and Marcus are photographic geniuses. So talented and fun to work with. We had a lot of laughs and fun on set and the photos are amazing.

Did the hair, makeup and clothes in the campaign reflect the Gucci Bamboo woman as well?

Working with such an important brand, you work with a great crew. Hair, makeup, styling - they know exactly what they are doing. I literally gave myself over to them to work their magic like they always do.
