1. There are 15 shades
Of which 12 are completely new. The other three are Gwen Stefani’s favourite Urban Decay shades. The new hues were crafted with the singer’s input - they’re the colours she always wished were available.
2. Every shade name means something
And in fact, most were handpicked by Stefani. They include Blonde (no prizes for guessing why); Anaheim (where she grew up) and 1987 (the year No Doubt was formed), just to name a few.
3. Even the look of the packaging is very much Stefani
The host of The Voice had a say in everything, right down to the hot pink hue inside of the box that houses the palette. The palette case features white-and-black graphic prints with gold accents, which are also very Stefani-consistent as she usually sports monochrome clothing with a touch of old-school glamour.
4. The eyeshadows blend well and last long
They’re formulated with Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System, which gives each shade a velvety texture, rich colour, blendability and staying power.
5. It contains a secret treat
Every palette also comes with something extra — a preview of what’s to come from Stefani. We don’t want to spoil it for you, so we can only say it that includes swatches and something to sample. We’re sure you’ll be as excited about it as we are!
$85. The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eye Shadow Palette launches 17 December at Urban Decay stores at #01-13 VivoCity and #01-16 Bugis Junction, and all Sephora stores.
