Since it was founded in 2009 by designers Afton Chen and Louis Koh, homegrown label Reckless Ericka has been beloved both locally and globally for its quirky, modern aesthetic.
To the dismay of many, the brand then took a three-year hiatus in 2013 to focus on their women’s workwear line Still. Now that Still has been closed, Reckless Ericka is finally returning, better than ever.
For starters, the brand will be releasing two collections a year for Spring and Fall, for not just women and men, but children as well.
For their comeback this Fall/Winter 2016 season, the pair were inspired by a trip to Isreal’s Sea of Galilee and the surreal experiences they had there. This was interpreted into their FW16 collection, which features their signature pleating, oversized draping and menswear silhouettes, complemented by colours from the Sea of Galilee.
Expect structured jackets, gender-neutral bottoms, layered dresses with fresh, sporty influences, that strike the perfect balance between whimsy and wearability.
