We can almost see the makers of Bottega Verde yawning when they learn about beauty’s current trend: Using more natural ingredients in products. After all, the Italian beauty house has been doing just that for more than 40 years.
It started out as an apothecary in 1972 in the Tuscan town of Pienza, with a passion for artisanal production and cosmetics based on natural ingredients. Today, it makes more than 600 (you read that right!) face, body and hair products - all at super affordable prices.
The brand is solely held by the Lavino family, who also owns the gorgeous Palazzo Massaini in Seina. The lush landscape surrounding that estate represents the inspiration for the main ingredients in Bottega Verde’s cosmetics.
Now the family is taking their brand of beauty to Asia via stores in South Korea (we saw one in Myeongdong, Seoul last week) and here.
So what amongst its mind-boggling range of products should you get? We start you off with these five must-tries in the gallery above.
