We already think regular freckles are cute, but this fun new trend takes it to a whole other level. Beauty gurus on YouTube and Instagram alike have been spotted with bold coloured freckles across their faces, in vibrant pinks, yellows and blues, and even shiny metallics.
They look intricate, but rainbow freckles are surprisingly simple to do. All you need are some liquid lipsticks (the sort that dries in a few seconds) in your favourite colours and a couple of tapered brushes if your lipstick applicator is too thick.
To keep it from looking like you’ve got a random bunch of dots on your face, keep the rest of your face smooth and simple, and use a very pigmented liquid lipstick so the freckles stand out against your skin.
Psst, if you want to go all out, we think rainbow freckles look amazing with brightly-coloured hair and coloured eyebrows.

If your friends are constantly losing you while out at night, you need glow-in-the-dark hair, stat.
Also aptly known as black light hair, the hair trend only recently went viral, thanks to a Star Wars-themed Instagram contest called #StarWarsPopLocks.
It may have only blown up now, but glow-in-the-dark hair dyes have been on the market for years. They’re available in a myriad of colours to give your hair that Pinterest-worthy neon colour during the day, but prove even more magical when it glows as night falls or under a UV light.
Want to have a go at the trend? There are plenty of temporary and semi-permanent dyes out there, but the brand most crazy hair colour aficionados swear by is Manic Panic.
