Long hair is the default “girl’s hairstyle” everywhere - we’re so used to seeing models strutting down the runways with flowing tresses, braids or ponytails.
That’s why the cool crops and refreshing short ’dos sported by models at the recent SS16 shows really caught our eye. From Versace and Moschino to Louis Vuitton and Chloe, the girls with unexpected short hair stood out, in a good way.
We particularly loved the dishevelled pixie wigs at Moschino, the short wet-look waves at Thakoon and the buzz cut sported by model Ruth Bell at Louis Vuitton.
The cherry on top of all that? Short hair is totally easy to style. Just pick a pomade or wax in a finish you prefer – shiny or matte. Then spread on hands, run them through hair and use your fingers to style.
Below, a selection of styling products that will help you rock that crop.
