Going sans makeup is usually reserved for lazy weekends and workout sessions. But if you’re planning to stay in with your other half and still want to look fresh-faced and put together, we’ve got the solution for you. Cue the “no-makeup” makeup look (also good for when you want to hang out in the heartlands).
Here’s how to get it in three simple steps.
Step 1: Prep
Hydrated skin looks luminous, so be sure to pick the right moisturiser for your skin type. You can even choose hydrators that work to blur imperfections - #nofilter needed.
Step 2: Build
In this case, less is more. Makeup artist Larry Yeo advices choosing base products that match your skin tone and applying them only where needed. That usually means under the eyes, around the nostrils and on zits.
Step 3: Finish
For a polished look, comb your brows into place with a spoolie brush and set the strands in place with some balm, or use a brow gel in a natural colour. A quick clamp on your lashes with an eyelash curler will give you an instantly wide-eyed look. And be sure to moisturise those lips so your puckers look plump and kissable.
